Guess the mystery fish in 6 tries. Each guess must be a fish from the list. Start typing a common name, nickname or scientific name.

Every guess shows six clues comparing your fish with the mystery fish:

• Water: fresh, salt, or both.
• Habitat: reef, open ocean, deep sea, coastal, river, lake.
• Size: typical maximum length (disc width for rays). An arrow says whether the mystery fish is bigger or smaller.
• Range: where it lives in the wild: continents for freshwater fish, oceans for sea fish.
• Family: a match for the same family group, partial for the same broader group.
• Diet: carnivore, omnivore, herbivore, or plankton.
